IFS is Different
The Internal Family Systems (IFS) method is quite different from what you might typically know or expect from other therapeutic approaches. It invites a unique, introspective exploration of the self, fostering a deeper understanding of the various parts that make up our inner landscape.
During our call, we’ll discuss anything on your mind—no topic is too big or small. I’ll help you find a thought or feeling to explore further. My questions may seem unusual at first, but people adapt quickly.
For example, I might ask: "There’s a part of you that wants to sleep in and another that feels you should wake up at 5 am and run 10 miles. When you focus on the desire to sleep in, what do you feel in your body?" I mention this to help you feel more familiar with the method before we meet.

A standard “50-minute hour” simply can’t capture the profound depth of healing that Internal Family Systems offers.
Our unique “time-and-a-half” sessions create a welcoming sanctuary where you can dive into the intricate layers of your inner world. You’ll be free to wander along vital trailheads, uncovering insights and nurturing growth, all while ensuring a safe return to your center—renewed, revitalized, and ready to embrace your true self.
Instead of trying to manage your feelings or thoughts, IFS allows you to safely explore them. I will help you get to know the different parts of yourself. Together, we will see how your mind, body, and spirit interact to shape your desires, goals, fears, and actions.
Unlike traditional therapy, which focuses on understanding your past, IFS aims to heal those parts of you that feel out of sync. We foster compassion, trust, and understanding rather than control.
